Google has just released a new video showing off the user
interface of its Glass Project, showing off some of the available features and
functionality of the device.
Whilst there has been a previous video displaying the
many potential features of Glass, this was simply an ideas Mock-up to give
people an idea as to what it could do when finished and released.
This new video shows off more specific functions of the
device including voice control commands, maps directions, web searches, update notifications
and language translation on-the-fly. While there is not release date or window
as yet for an affordable commercial version of this product, some are already
offered to developers and early adopters at Google’s last I/O conference.
In addition to this, a new opportunity to get your hands on
Google Glass early has arisen, with Google’s #ifihadglass page, which allows “creative
individuals” to help shape the future of Glass. Google are looking for a small
number of individuals who are willing to test the product, and if selected can
purchase one for 1500$ at a special pick-up event in New York, San Francisco or
Los Angeles. To read more go to #ifihadglass
